Crystal, a white conservative single mother struggling to make ends meet, is desperate to find a way to afford her son's medical bills. When her landlord threatens to evict her, she turns to desperate measures. But on her quest for cash, a turn of fate puts her and an undocumented immigrant, Sofia, in a thrilling life and death situation, and force them to confront their shared vulnerability. Ultimately, their courage and empathy reunites them as Crystal is sold a way to pay her rent with an unexpected surprise from Sofia.
